Often when one visits a gallery or a museum one finds a placard describing or explaining the work of art next to it. For the most part these are helpful and informative, providing insight into the work and placing it into context for the viewer. Sometimes they're a load of pretentious claptrap. I've started taking aim at these latter, correcting them as if they were college English papers.
